Macleay Conference & Retreat Center was purchased in 1992 and established as a west coast conference center for Brunstad Christian Church North American churches in the summer of 1993.
Situated in Salem, Oregon, the center is known and often referred to by members as MCR or Macleay.
In the early 1990s, the church grounds consisted mainly of a meeting hall and three dormitories. Gradually, the property has been developed to include campsites, additional cabins, updated meeting spaces, and sports and swimming facilities.
Today, over 700 members from the west coast churches meet at the center for Christian conferences and events throughout the year. Macleay is also rented out to other Christian groups in need of conference facilities.
Brunstad Christian Church North America places a special focus on work with children and youth. Most of the BCC hosted events at Macleay are geared towards strengthening the faith of children and teens, while offering fun activities within our faith-based community.
Annual MCR events include soccer tournaments, youth conferences, men’s and women’s retreats, and a summer “Family Week.”
